What to Do About Sensor Build-Up

How to Identify Build-Up

If your tank gauge shows as full even when the tank is empty, it’s likely due to residue on the sender screws. This residue can create a complete circuit, causing an inaccurate reading.

The Simple Solution

Here’s how to resolve it:

1. Gently unscrew the sender from the water tank.
2. Remove the sender and wipe it down with a microfiber towel.
3. For stubborn residue, use a gentle dish soap that’s grey-water approved.

Once clean, return the sender to the tank, and your system should be back to functioning perfectly.
